How Factory-Direct Works

Three ways to buy the same gear. Pick the one that fits your job.

We run one store with three buying paths. They are genuinely different trade-offs, and we will tell you plainly when one of them is not the right call for you. That is the whole pitch: the cheapest legitimate path to dealer-quality equipment, with the trade-offs stated up front.

Path 1 — US Warehouse (ships this week)

  • Speed: 3–5 business days, from the brand's own US warehouse.
  • Price: Standard dealer pricing. No games, no fake discounts.
  • Best for: "I need it on the machine this week."
  • Who handles import: Nobody. It's already in the country. Full manufacturer warranty, and we're an authorized dealer for every brand we list this way.

Path 2 — Factory-Direct (save 30–50%, wait a little)

  • Speed: Roughly 2–3 weeks from Mexico by truck; 6–8 weeks from Asia by ocean. Every product page shows its real lead time before you buy.
  • Price: Typically 30–50% under US dealer pricing on the same class of equipment — and we publish the math (see below).
  • Best for: "I can wait a few weeks to save a few thousand dollars."
  • Who handles import: We do. Your order gets its own customs entry, handled per order by a licensed broker. You just take delivery.

Path 3 — Group-Buy Container (cheapest possible, for the patient)

  • Speed: Typically 6–9 weeks after the container closes.
  • Price: The lowest freight cost that exists — you split a 40-ft container with other buyers.
  • Best for: "I'm buying something big, or several things, and price beats speed."
  • Who handles import: You're the importer of record on your own customs entry; we coordinate everything — factory, inspection, container, broker, trucking. Full explainer here.

Not sure which path fits? Open the chat and tell us what you need and when. If the honest answer is "buy the dealer version," that's the answer you'll get.

The savings math — published, not implied

Nobody else in this industry shows you their cost stack. We do, on every factory-direct product page. Here's the shape of it, using a 72-inch root grapple as the example:

  • Factory price — what the fabricator charges us for your unit.
  • Freight — truck from Mexico, or ocean plus domestic trucking from Asia. Real quoted cost, allocated to your order.
  • Duty and tariff — whatever US customs actually charges on that product from that country. Not hidden in the price. If tariffs change, the math changes, and you'll see it.
  • Inspection and handling — third-party pre-shipment inspection and paperwork.
  • Our margin — yes, we show it. We're a business, not a charity, and we'd rather you see exactly what we make than wonder.

Add those lines up and you get our price — around $2,450 for a grapple that runs $5,800–$6,400 at US dealer list, roughly a 58% saving on that example. The dealer's price isn't dishonest; it's carrying a dealer network, a showroom floor, floor-plan financing, and a sales staff. Ours isn't carrying any of that. That's the entire trick. There is no other trick.

What actually happens when you order factory-direct

  • 1. You order. Normal checkout. The product page has already told you the lead time and the final-sale policy — no surprises later.
  • 2. The factory builds or pulls your unit. These are vetted factories we've qualified: floor video calls, export history, written specs on the order.
  • 3. Third-party inspection, with photos sent to you. Before your unit ships, an independent inspector checks it — welds, coating, crating, specs — and you get the photos of your actual unit.
  • 4. It ships. Truck across the border from Mexico in days, or ocean freight from Asia in weeks. You get milestone updates the whole way — never a bare "unfulfilled."
  • 5. Customs clears, per order. A licensed customs broker files a single entry for your order. Duty is paid. Everything is legitimate — no gray-market games, ever.
  • 6. Freight delivery to your door or jobsite. Curbside LTL with liftgate. See Shipping & Lead Times for what delivery day looks like.

Yes, it's made in Mexico, India, Sri Lanka — and sometimes China. Here's why that's fine.

We put the country of origin on every product page, in plain sight, because we think it's a selling point when you understand the supply chain — and because hiding it is what sketchy importers do.

  • Mexico: Our steel attachments are fabricated to our drawings in the Monterrey area — one of North America's serious steel-fabrication clusters — and trucked across the Texas border. North American steel, days-not-months delivery, USMCA trade terms. This is near-shoring, and it's a good story, not a confession.
  • India: The world's tractor-implement heartland. If you've priced a rotary tiller or a box blade lately, the odds are decent it started life there anyway.
  • Sri Lanka and Vietnam: Home to the major rubber-track plants — including facilities that built tracks for brands you already trust. Same presses, different sticker.
  • China: A handful of products — planetary auger drives, for instance — come from Chinese factories because that's genuinely where that class of gearbox is made best at the price. When a product is China-origin, the page says so, along with the full duty math.

Here's the part most stores won't say: many "brand name" attachments and components come out of the same industrial clusters we buy from, with a US brand's paint and a dealer markup on top. We don't claim our gear is identical to any specific brand's — it isn't, and we won't pretend otherwise. We claim it's the same class of equipment, built to a written spec we check: steel grade, thickness, weld quality, weight. Weight is the cheat-detector — a quarter-inch grapple that ships 150 pounds light is really three-sixteenths, and that's exactly the kind of thing our inspections catch before your unit ships.

And where the dealer still wins, we'll say so: if you need same-day local service, a loaner machine, and a relationship with a counter you can drive to, buy from your dealer. If you need a grapple that works at roughly half the price and you can wait for it, buy from us.

So why do we also sell at full dealer price from US warehouses?

Because sometimes fast is worth more than cheap, and because some equipment — anything with an engine on it, for a start — is best bought from a US brand that carries the EPA compliance and the warranty. We're an authorized dealer for those brands: their warehouse, their warranty, their price, at your door in days. Selling both paths honestly is exactly why you can trust either one. A store that claims factory-direct is always the answer is selling you something. So is a dealer who claims it never is.

Who's behind this

An owner-operated business — one owner, whose name and face are on the About page, backed by a lot of automation. No fake "team of experts," no stock-photo support staff. When something goes wrong, the owner personally handles the claim. Read Claims & Warranty for exactly what we stand behind on each buying path.

Browse the catalog — every product shows its path, its origin, and its lead time. Financing is available on most orders over $2,000; see monthly payment options.
